That's a lot of candles!

Doug's great grandma is going to turn 100 at the end of the month. To celebrate, the family had a huge party in her home town of Torrey, Utah. Since we were going to drive down for the party we figured we might as well make a weekend of it. We went camping in the Dixie National Forest. It was so beautiful! The campsite was really well kept and clean. We had lots of fun riding bikes, hiking, fishing, and making s'mores. We took all the grand kids on mile hike up to see Hickman Bridge. They were all troopers, it was a long hike for kids and it was quite hot.

I love this picture. It is quite difficult to get five kids to look at the camera at the same time. This is Jaxon's usual reaction nowadays when the camera comes out.

This is a cool picture even though it is hard to see us at the bottom of the bridge.

Poor Ashlyn! Doug was carrying her on his back in a backpack hiking thing (I don't know what they are called) and didn't notice a branch of a bush hanging out onto the trail. Little Asher got it right in the face :(

The second happiest place on Earth :)

Every year Harmons has a Lagoon day for their employees. We always have a blast when we go. Harmons provides all sorts of free food and activities for the kids. Which saves us lots of money. We left Ashlyn at home (thanks grandma Laura) so we could go on the rides with Jaxon. He was in heaven, he had our complete and undivided attention all day long. He got to pick and go on all the rides he wanted. For those of you who haven't been to Lagoon in for a couple of years, they have redone their Kiddie-Land. It is really nice now. Here are LOTS of pics from yesterday.

This was the first ride Jaxon wanted to go on, he covered his eyes the entire time.

Bumper cars! He drives just like his Daddy :)

Gotta Love those little boats.

The Dragon Fly

The original Bulgy The Whale

The ladybug drop, which is kinda scary.

You can't go to Lagoon without riding Puff.

We got quite wet on Rattle Snake Rapids

Healthy Treats

Do I need to be concerned that this was his favorite ride? Look how happy he is to shoot that gun. Every time he circled around he would shoot me and laugh.

P.S. This blogging stuff is good exercise. Our office is downstairs, and every time I try to read or post blogs I get a work out. Once I sit down for a minute the kids will need me and it is up and down, up and down, up and down those dang stairs!

Summer Fun!

When I was a little kid the Fourth of July was my favorite holiday. Now that I am a parent I can understand why. Because of Doug's schedule we started doing fireworks on Wednesday, and we are just finishing up tonight. Every night this weekend we have had a bbq to go to. Jaxon is going to be confused when we aren't doing sparklers tomorrow night. I love the Fourth of July but, I am glad it is over.

Here are some pictures from the last couple weeks...

Doggie Pool - Maya thinks that she needs to be included in everything. When I set up the swimming pool for the kids she doesn't see any reason why she shouldn't be involved in the fun. The kids usually only last for about ten minutes, she usually plays for the longest.
