Diaper Derby

Yesterday we went to the Safe Kids Fair at the South Towne Expo Center. I didn't even think to take my camera so I don't have any pics. While we were there they were signing babies up for a diaper derby. Your baby had to be less than 18 months to participate, so we figured we would sign Ashlyn up because they said they had some pretty good prizes for the winners. There were five different heats of babies that could either walk, run, or crawl to the edge of a mat and back. Ashlyn was in the first heat and won pretty easily. Then the winners of each heat competed in the final race to win prizes. Ashlyn took third place, I think we could have won if she didn't stand there for 20 seconds before she decided to run. It was fun and she won a package from Kiddie Kandids, which is awesome because they are so expensive. Way to go Ashlyn!!!

Crazy little Girl

I went to check on Ashlyn today and I found her playing inside her toy box. I cannot even begin to explain how much I love this little stinker. She is so much fun right now, this is my favorite age. She is starting to learn so much and talk all the time yet, she still can't talk back :) She know most of her basic animal sounds. My favorite is the pig noise, she can't quite figure out how to make a snorting sound but she sure tries. She is starting to say new words every day, her most common ones are; momma, dadda, maya, num-num, bye-bye, night-night, all gone, all done, so big, cheese, please, me, nose, eyes, ball, what's that, book, duck, dog. She absolutely loves to look at books. She pulls out all of Jaxon's books every chance she gets. I still cannot figure out how it is possible for such a little girl to make such a big mess. I know that kids pull stuff out but this little girl makes it look like a tornado has come through, ALL DAY LONG! I can't imagine my life with out her.

CHEESE!

Sweetheart

This weekend is the anniversary when Doug and I went on our first date. I asked him to go with me to this dance NINE years ago. It was one of the best decisions I ever made. I LOVE YOU BABE!!! Here is the picture from the dance...

Lego Land!

Last weekend we took a quick trip down to San Diego to go to Lego Land. Doug's parents went down there in December and they wanted to go again to take our family. The kids did AWESOME in the car, I don't think they ever really complained. Jaxon had a blast, this park is aimed at 3-7 year olds. We were kind of lucky that it had been raining all weekend because it scared a lot of people away so we were able to walk on almost every ride. The day we went to the park the sun came out and we didn't even need our umbrellas. I could post dozens of cool pictures of all the amazing things they have built out of legos, but I will only put up a few of the fam.

As we first walked in the park they have this family display of Legos. We were laughing so hard because it looked just like us!

Thanks Grandma and Grandpa we ahd a GREAT time!
