Easter Day

We did not have the usual Easter morning this year.  On Saturday I noticed I was starting to get some hives on my elbows and knees, I took a Benadryl that night to help with the hives and itching.  Sunday morning I woke up and my eyes were very swollen and the hives had spread all over my body and face. We hurried and did all the Easter Fun with the kids.  Then we decided I better go to Instacare so we dropped the kids off at my moms and went over.  The Dr. said it was definitely an allergic reaction to something I ate but we still don't know what.  So he gave me some prednisone and I was feeling and looking much better by the afternoon.  I was sad that I didn't get to get all the kids dressed up for church but that is the way it goes sometimes.

Once we came back home we decided to go outside since the weather was so nice.  We started to blow the new Crayola Color Bubbles the kids got for East but, they were SO messy that we stopped after I blew about two bubbles.  Jaxon wanted us to get out his sled out of the garage and it turned into a little redneck-fun.  We tied a jump rope to the sled and began pulling the kids around the yard.  It was actually pretty fun :)

I did eventually get the girls dressed in their Easter clothes.

We invited Jami and the kids over for dinner and I cooked a traditional ham.  All things considered I think we all had a nice Easter.

Easter Eggs

The kids are always so excited to dye Easter Eggs every year.  We all had fun and dyed about 3 dozen eggs.

Ashlyn loves to do anything that involves getting messy.

While we were busy coloring eggs the babies were playing in the kitchen.  They kept laying down on a blanket and pretending to go "night, night."

Spring Ball

For the first time in about five years Doug is playing baseball again.  He has played in a few softball leagues over the past few years but this is the first time he has played baseball since he left the Minor League.  It is so fun to watch him throw again, and he loves to do it.  He is such a natural, the first game he pitched he picked up right where he left off, you would have never known he hadn't pitched in so long.  Unfortunately, his shoulder is really hurting him but he will ALWAYS play through the pain.

I love to see my man in uniform!!!
