St. George Weekend

We took a last minute trip down to St. George last weekend. We enjoyed ourselves in the warm sun. The highlight of the trip was swimming at the Washington Rec Center. It was a very nice facility with lots of stuff to keep us all busy. Our sweet little Ashlyn laid in the pool with her life-jacket keeping her afloat for about two hours. She would get upset if you would reposition her, I bet she went around the lazy river ten times.

Viewer discretion is advised; I am in a swimsuit in the following pictures :)

Children's Museum

Last week we went to the Children's Museum with are friends the Maxfields. We had so much fun! The kids were able to play around as much as they wanted since everything is 'kid-friendly' you don't have to worry about them breaking anything. There are so many activities and games for the kids to play with. We could have stayed there all day. You will notice in the pictures that neither of my children will no longer look at the camera, sigh.

Grandma's Easter Egg Hunt

Every year we have a Easter Egg hunt and at Grandma Laura's house. The kids always have a blast. Thank goodness they weather finally cooperated, I was worried Ashlyn wasn't going to be able to wear her pretty dress.

Saturday Egg Hunt

This year I decided to try a new egg hunt. For the past couple of years we have gone to Riverton for our hunt, but after Jaxon got lost last year in the crazy crowd of parents helping their kids get as many eggs as possible, we decided to try somewhere new. We went to the Taylorsville Lions Club egg hunt which turned out to be great. As many parents know the actual "hunt" takes about 2 minutes so most of the pictures are from beforehand.

All dressed and ready to go!

Antsy the whole drive

Playing before the hunt.

Almost time......

What do you expect me to do with those eggs?

Doggie Days

Jag is not your typical puppy. He has always been super mellow and lazy. He never went through the wild puppy phase or the chew on everything I can phase, he is a super calm dog. We always tease him, because he is a fat and lazy dog. He is only six months old, today he had to get his last round of puppy shots at the vet where he weighed in at 78lbs! We are not sure why, but his ears have never stood up like a normal German Shepherd dog. So for a last ditch effort at the vet we had them 'rack' his ears. They supported and taped them up to see if we can get the cartilage to strengthen. I think this is the equivalent of getting braces as a teenager. They are driving him crazy, hopefully he will get used to them soon. Until then we will just giggle as people point and laugh at our goofy dog.

Who knew???

Poor Little Ashlyn has the Chicken Pox. She has been vaccinated but I guess on rare occasions kids can still get them. I noticed a couple little red spots on her lower back on Friday and by Sunday her entire back was covered. Today she has them popping up on her arms and legs. I took her to the doctor and he said she has atypical chicken pox. They don't seem to be bothering her too much except when I see her trying to scratch them. I don't know where she picked them up, I don't know anyone who has had them in years.

Copy Cat

Ashlyn is really starting to talk a lot. She will make an attempt to try almost any word. Last week I even got her to recite most of the alphabet with me. However, she got stuck on 'W' which turned into "duba duba duba duba duba." On Monday we were out shopping when I told her "I love you," to which she responded "luv you." My heart melted...I made her say it ten more times that day :)
