Zoo

We went to the zoo yesterday.  It was an amazing afternoon!  It may not sound like much, but neither one of my kids cpmlained or whined once, for the whole 3+ hours we were there.  The weather was perfect, the crowds were perfect, and my kids were perfect - what more can you ask for???

26 Weeks and a new Hair do...

First off, I would like to thank Jaxon for taking my picture.  As you can see he is a professional and knows the best angles to flatter my growing fugure :)

I went to the Doctor yesterday and everything is looking good.  The babies are growing right on pace, they are measuring about 1lb 13oz and 1lb 11oz.  We still are not sure on names, good thing we have a couple more months to think...
I don't know if it is bad thing but, I keep thinking about losing a lot of weight.  I still have a lot of weight to gain until the babies are born and I just want to be able to start running again.  Since I can't go into weight loss mode right now, I decided I could help my self esteem a little by getting a new hair do.  Yesterday I cut about four inches off and went a couple of shades darker.  It is a nice change!

Birthday Parties

Today we celebrated both of my kiddos birthdays.  I decided to be frugal this year and spend the afternoon in the park with homemade cupcakes.  The weather was supposed to be 68 and sunny, however we never saw the sun.  Besides the cooler weather I think everybody enjoyed themselves.  We opened presents, hit a pinata, ate cupcakes, and played on the playground.  Thanks to everyone that came!

Notice how Jaxon always gives me a big grin and Ashlyn will not even look at the camera.

The final hit to release all the candy.

Happy Birthday Jaxon!!!

I woke up a little early on Jaxon's birthday so I could hang some streamers up in his door frame. I wanted him to be able to walk through a little tunnel of decorations when he woke up. However, while I was cutting the ribbon to hang up I heard him jumping down the stairs at 7:30, he saw me on the couch and said " I'M FIVE! " He told me he just had to get up and out of bed because he was so excited to be five.
I was able to help in his preschool on his birthday. His teacher had him come up to the front of class and celebrate his special day for a good five minutes, he was thrilled!
Jaxon is such a sweet boy. Doug and I get at least two love letters a day from him. He will write our names on a piece of paper, draw some hearts, and put it in an envelope. He has also really gotten into coloring lately, which he is very good at. We just love our big boy!

Gardner Village

We went to see the the witches at Gardner Village last week. Both of my kids are so excited to see all of the Halloween decorations out this year. Ashlyn will say, "ooh scary witch" or "ooh Halloween." We also were able to feed the fish in the little lake. Neither one of my kids wanted to pose with the witches, but I did get a couple pics from the afternoon.

Don't mind the post-lunch dirty face.

Looking up at the decorations.
