Hee Haw

Some of our very favorite people/neighbors invited us to go with them to Hee Haw Farms in Pleasant Grove to watch the pumpkin drop.  If you made a donation to Primary Children's Hospital you got to ride up 175 feet in crane and drop a pumpkin on car below.

First the Cushings went up in the crane to drop their pumpkins.

We were all a little nervous for the ride up.

When it was our turn the crane operator thought it was funny to dip the bottom of the cage into a swimming pool.

All four of us hit the car!
Throughout the day they would drop these HUGE pumkins, sending seeds and pumpkin guts all over.

This 'snowman' pumpkin was the crowd favorite!

We spent the rest of the day at the petting zoo, corn maze, giant slide, and a lot of other attractions.
We had a super fun time with great friends!

Hogwarts Party

My mom invited all of us over to her house Hogwarts for a fun Halloween party.  She had been planning the party for months, she even got all of the grand kids costumes to wear.

We had to go through the correct platform...

We made it to the castle...

Where we were greeted by Professor Mcgonagall...

We had to use the Sorting Hat to find out which house all of the kids belonged to...

Griffindor!

We played games with family and friends...

We ate a lot of yummy food and treats...

There were so many fun decorations...

Thanks mom, we all had so much fun and the kids are still talking about it!

Dumbledore, Professor Mcgonagall, Prisoner of Azkaban, a Death Eater, and all the students!

Carving the Pumpkins

We carved pumpkins with the kids on Thursday night.  Doug helped Jaxon carve out his pumpkin and I was in charge of helping Ashlyn.  The babies were fascinated by what was going on, they sat and watched what was going on and occasionally tried to help us carve.

Jaxon's Grim Reaper

Doug and I were so busy helping the kids with their pumpkins that we ran out of time to carve our own.  The next day when the twins were having a nap we decided it was time to get ours done.

Liz's Cannibal Pumpkin

Doug's Masterpiece - we are still undecided on what it is supposed to be :)

Painting Pumpkins

The kids and I painted pumpkins one night for Family Home Evening while Doug was at work.  They were so anxious to carve pumpkins but it was too early so we painted our little pumpkins to hold them over until Halloween came closer.

Here is everyone with their pumpkins before the paint.

Breanne pulls this face everytime we take her picture :)

I was a little nervous to let the babies paint all by themselves, but I figured I might as well let them have some fun too. Every child took a different approach to their painting technique.

I was really impressed with Brynlee! She was very methodical and made sure to cover her pumpkin evenly.

Breanne randomly painted her pumpkin

Jaxon painted a picture of Frankenstein on his and Ashlyn put as much paint as possible on hers.

The final product!
