To be surprised, or prepared???

I am having mixed feelings about finding out the gender of this baby. Since I already have a boy and a girl, all the pressure is off. I think it would a lot of fun to wait and be surprised in the delivery room when the baby is born. At the same time it makes me nervous to not know what I am having. Plus, we would have to decide on two names, and picking out one is hard enough!

However, everyone that I talk to that has not found out the gender tells me it is totally worth it. The suspense of not knowing is awesome. They say it makes the delivery so much more exciting.

My ultrasound is in 2 weeks so I need to make up my mind.

Any thoughts???

Experiences you would like to share???

Advice???

Hmmmm....that's hard. I would probably do it just for the fun of it and I can imagine how much more exciting delivery would be if you don't know. But, I don't know personally, if I could wait that long not finding out what I am having. I would be too anxious. And I would want to know early so that I can get everything all prepared for the baby. It's probably not that difficult to get things ready though, since you have both boy and girl stuff. So, I say you should go for it. Why not? And if you don't make it all the way to the end before you find out, then it's just as exciting!! So, I know this doesn't really help. Those are just my thoughts about the matter!!!

Wait...I forgot to mention one other thing. You do not even look like you are that far along. Seriously, it just dawned on me when I found out you have the ultrasound in two weeks. Seriously though, you look really good. Oh, and your children are just so beautiful. I have always thought so. Okay, I think that's all. :) good luck with your decision.

Your kids are so darn cute! Seriously! I am going to tell you to go for it and wait. It'll be so fun to have a surprise! (Keep in mind though that I am a total hypocrite and there is no way I could wait so take it for what it's worth :)

Well I think after I have this baby if we have another one I may decide to not find out what I am having because I have heard that it is so very awesome to be looking during the delivery thinking what am I having. My sister in law has now had 3 and hasnt found out what any of them are and she totally thinks it is so worth it. I really don't know if I am patient enough to wait 9 months to find out what I am having! If you do decide to wait I think you won't regret it that is for sure.

Wait! I would totally wait. You have all the gear either way, right? Only a couple things to shop for? Do it! How fun. I am so excited for you. If you do decide to find out what it is, I am sure you will let us all know.

As much as I want to know what you are having!!!!! I think you should wait. IF Jake and I have any more kids we want to try waiting too. Either way there is suspense and excitement, in the delivery room or in the ultrasound room. Whatever you do, I am so excited for you!

You should totally wait!! I shared our experience with you and it's really worth it. I'm not going to say it was easy and not having everything fully organized before you go to the hospital didn't feel stressful, but you at least have stuff both genders. I only had girl stuff and bought some yellow and green sleepers. The neat part is when you have the baby and everyone is outside waiting the announcement that "he" or "she" is here is so much more exciting. Also we told our doctor to not tell us what it was when the baby came out, I wanted Jason to be the one to tell me and announce "It's a Girl". It just seemed to be so much more personal than some stranger making that big announcement that would change our lives.
If you can handle it, wait. You won't be disappointed. :-)
I hope you're feeling well. Let us all know what you decide.

We didn't know with Sadie and it has to be my favorite delivery!! I loved keeping everyone in suspense, and it was just a sweet moment between me and Corey for a while that we were the only ones that knew.
Good luck!!

Have fun with this one! You're kind lucky to have the option...the suspense would kill me but at the same time how cool would it be not having anyone know. It would drive people nuts!

Wait, Wait, Wait! It is so worth it. I was in the same place you were with my third so we waited and just to see the look on my hubbys face when we found out that this baby we had been waiting for for nine long months was a boy it was all worth it! It was just so diffrent then the other two, Special moment {not that the others weren't} Just diffrent.
